A common problem in India is this that whoever has the money thinks himself superior. The situation gets even worse when it comes to small towns where the one who owns some property is considered respected in the society and people are ready to listen to his nonsense, abusive language and pinching tone. Such is the magic money plays on their minds.
I was coming back from my hometown, located in a small district of Uttar Pradesh, with tears in my eyes because of the fact that I was going to miss them for the next few days. On my way I often confront different types of problems, viz nobody wants to offer a seat to even a lady if she does not get one but if a girl or woman is smart and beautiful, people very easily offer her a seat. It shows "looks matter" for them.
Again one important thing that made me write this was the thing I came to know in this journey only. A car was lying there on our way. Roads being narrow, there was no passage for the bus, so the driver blew the horn. Suddenly a person with bushy mustaches and furious face appeared yelling on the driver in his harsh and shrill voice. He was using abusive language which was intolerable. He was almost ready to beat the driver. It was hard to believe that such things could happen in present time and that too in a country which boasts of having the largest democracy of the world. How can a man be so much inhumane? There was no fault of the driver. He simply blew the horn for paving the way for the bus. But that man could not tolerate that a rich person like him should be alarmed! And therefore followed the whole incident.
It gave me some waves to form an opinion about the people who are not much educated, who are not much exposed and because of their arrogance they feel that they can show their authority on others with their power.
